Oliver Model 299-D Single Surface Planer Serial Number 206467
One owner  machine from a High School, original paint comes with dust hood which is offset to one side. The grinder dovetail has a nice fitted cover to keep it clean. Cutter head motor is Reuland 7.5HP 208-230/440V 3 Phase 3600 RPM, Drive motor is Reuland 1.5 HP 208-230/440V 3 Phase 1725 RPM. In the mag starter enclosure it still had the original install tag and wiring diagram from spring of 1983, machine is wired for 230V Three Phase currently. This planer has sat unused for a few years, I greased all the Zerk fittings and ran machine for 30 min. or so and tested with a piece of hardwood, feeder functions as it should from slow to fast, table up and down smooth, some of the inserts have chips so leaving lines in wood, these types of inserts have four sides. Can be seen under power and picked up in Southern California Zip 90716, forklift on site to load suitable vehicle. Only the machine is included, no accessories such as grinder motor available. Shipping via truck freight is available, machine itself weighs about 2500 lbs. on a heavy duty skid shipping weight will be 2700-2800 lbs. and approx. shipping dimension will be 60" X 48" X 70" and please keep in mind that with the high cost of wood currently I would need to charge for materials to build skid unless by chance I can find one locally. Please ask any questions before purchase and if at all possible please come see and hear this machine in person. Advertised locally as well so listing may end abruptly.
Update on inserts, someone inquired about condition of inserts. I pulled a random insert and observed that two sides have never been ground (unused) two sides have been ground only, one is the one exposed in head currently with a few that have small nicks that should grind out. The other side has been ground lightly but was still sharp with a crisp edge. I can pull a few more random ones if of great concern to someone.
