Description
This is a large Newman 4 head planer, with 2 additional heads added on, for a total of 6 heads for a pass. This was set up in Missoula, MT and ran 3000' of 6x8" d-logs a day, and was moved to Whitefish, MT but never set up (no room now, expanding & changing log home company). We have the large electrical panel (about 8'x8') with starters, disconnects, fuses, etc. but have no pictures of that panel I could find. This also had some infeed and outfeed conveyors, but some of that was cut out for current milling operations, there are parts of the green chain, 4 or 5 chains (2 shown), a few roller decks, etc. as well as heads and other parts removed that were going to be modified to run a specific larger log. We had a millwright working on it to open it up from 8.5" in height to 10", and have those parts, but did not complete the change and brought it back to the stock 20" wide by 8.5" height. This machine has large 50 hp and 30 hp 3 phase motors and had no issues and ran well before the move. We can load it for you on your flatbed semi and bear that cost, and you ship it from 59912 to your destination. There is a local trucking company that has hauled it up to our mill, and can haul it to any state in the lower 48 for you. we purchased this big planer at auction, and will pass on the great deal to you, as there were few bidders there, and this machine is worth much more that we are asking, if you know anything about it. We simply are super busy, and can't expand right now, as we have limited space, and have about 40 semi loads of material that are in our front yard ready to ship at any time, and we just don't have the room to set this up.
