This item is a Geratherm Medical AG mercury free thermometer made in Germany.  It is advertised as an environmentally friendly, easy to read thermometer that provides clinical accuracy in a display that can be changed to read in degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius.  These thermometers are becoming increasingly popular once again. It is not in its original packaging but is in its plastic protective case.
